Fresno Urban Neighborhood Development (FUND Inc) is a non-profit community benefit organization working to ensure that children, seniors, and families in Fresno County live in safe, healthy, attractive and cooperative home and community environments.

FUND Inc partners with low-income homeowners in our most impoverished neighborhoods connecting them with their neighbors and volunteers from all walks of life to work side by side helping to  upgrade unsafe and unhealthy living conditions and to beautify neighborhoods giving families new hope and a fresh start.

FUND Inc is privately funded by the generosity of community partners to make a difference in the lives of these families and our underserved neighborhoods.

BACKGROUND OF CAMPAIGN PROJECT  AREA -

FUND Inc’s current project neighborhood is the Lowell neighborhood in downtown Fresno.  This neighborhood has been ranked with the highest concentration of poverty in the nation.  Most families are living below poverty at less than $12.000 annually and are challenged to keep up with home repair and maintenance.  As a neglected community, the neighborhoods are broken and rundown.   Lowell is the gateway to Downtown Fresno and has some of the most historic home in the City of Fresno.  Lowell elementary school is the anchor of the neighborhood.  Since 1995, FUND Inc programs have helped to turn this blight into beautiful!

Mission Statement

Our mission is to ensure that children, seniors and families in Fresno County live in safe, healthy, attractive & cooperative home and community environments.

Vision Statement

Community is best built by individuals coming together with a common interest.  Our vision is that our unique model of “Neighbors Helping Neighbors” would be that common interest, shared in each neighborhood.
